Annual Grant Cycle

The foundation is currently in between grant cycles.

The information below reflects the 2025 cycle and will be updated when the 2026 information becomes available.

The grant application period typically runs each year from August through mid-September.

Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that serve Benton and Franklin counties.

Each organization may submit one application per cycle.

Grant awards range from $500 to a limited number of grants at $10,000 or above. The average grant award is $4,000. If you are considering a request larger than $10,000 please contact 3RCF staff in advance.

Interviews may be requested for some or all applicants.

Funding decisions are announced in November. All grantees are provided two complimentary tickets to the Celebration of Philanthropy luncheon on December 10th to receive their award.

Impact Grant

Offers more flexible funding

Emphasizes follow-up reporting to show how funds supported the organization’s mission

STRONG CANDIDATE FOR NEW IMPACT GRANT

To be eligible for an Impact Grant, you must have received an application-based grant from 3RCF in 2024, 2023, or 2022.

History of receiving funding from 3RCF and timely reporting and follow up.

Nimble Organization, responding to changing community needs.

Operates on a mix of funding sources that would benefit from flexible funding as they receive responses from other Grantmakers, donors, and funders.

Will be able to clearly communicate how the funding was used to support their mission.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE EXCLUDED FROM FUNDING:
  • Annual fundraising campaigns or events
  • Capital campaigns
  • Capital expenditures for real estate, building construction, and feasibility projects
  • Debt retirement/reduction
  • Endowments
  • Matching funds
  • Organizations that discriminate with regard to age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national origin, religious affiliation, or presence of a disability
  • Political or lobbying activities
  • Purchases/activities that occurred prior to grant decisions
  • Re-granting funds
  • Religious purposes including sectarian worship, instruction, or proselytizing (organizations with religious affiliations will be considered for grants only if their activities address the needs of the wider community without regard to religious belief)
  • Schools (public, private, charter), PTO’s
  • Service clubs and service club foundations
  • Sponsorships
  • Sports Teams
