Mike and Jane Talbot – Kennewick
Jane and I passionately believe that volunteering and/or donating to those in need is a wonderful way to give back to our community, to say thank you for the great place we have lived in for most of four decades. It is not an obligation to give back, it is a pleasure.
We have been blessed in retirement with financial security, so the monetary impacts of COVID-19 have not been severe for us as it has been for less fortunate families in the mid-Columbia.ย We decided during last yearโs stimulus distribution that we should reach out to local organizations that could put those funds to use to benefit our neighbors in need. We felt it was the right thing to do.
We plan to do the same with the latest round of stimulus checks and, having been associated with 3RCF for many years, it was easy to decide to share a portion our 2021 stimulus funds with them. We also will share with our church so they can provide some assistance to those members in need where they can.
If you are in a similar situation regarding the stimulus checks, we encourage you to think about how you can be a caring and compassionate Tri-Cities neighbor.
