Babcock Services Inc. Scholarship

FOR CHILDREN AND DEPENDENTS OF BSI EMPLOYEES

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Babcock Services Inc. (BSI) Scholarship is to honor and provide financial support to deserving children and dependents of BSI employees for continuing education.

Virgie Robinson Memorial Scholarship

ALUMNI FROM PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT & EDUCATORS AT VIRGIE ROBINSON ELEMAENTARY

PURPOSE: The purpose of this fund is to offer a scholarships to elementary school alumni from the Pasco School District and staff support for educators at the Virgie Robinson Elementary School. This fund is in memory of Virgie Robinson, long time Pasco School District employee.

Thomas Evan Jones Memorial Scholarship

FOR PASCO OR SUNNYSIDE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

PURPOSE: The Thomas Evan Jones Memorial Scholarship was created to provide awards to students from Pasco or Sunnyside High Schools with overall grade point average of 3.0 with demonstrated financial need and the aim to earn a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering

Jim Noland Memorial Scholarship

FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE LOST A PARENT OR GUARDIAN TO CANCER

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Jim Noland Memorial Scholarship is to honor and provide financial support to a deserving student who has lost a parent or guardian to cancer.

Cocoa Morris Memorial Scholarship Fund

FOR STUDENTS WHO IDENTIFY AS LGBTQ+ FROM BENTON AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Cocoa Morris Memorial Scholarship Fund is to make an annual award of $1,000 to support a student who identifies as LGBTQ+ in Benton and Franklin counties attending an accredited university or trade school or other skill-based program such as a technology bootcamp.

Gabe Morris Memorial Scholarship Fund

FOR STUDENTS WHO IDENTIFY AS BLACK, INDIGENOUS, OR PERSON OF COLOR (BIPOC) FROM BENTON AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Gabe Morris Memorial Scholarship Fund is to make an annual award of $1,000 to support a student who identifies as Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color (BIPOC) in Benton and Franklin counties attending an accredited university or trade school or other skill-based program such as a technology boot-camp.

Pamela and Scott Woodward Conservation Scholarship

FOR STUDENTS WITH DEMONSTRATED INTEREST IN CONSERVATION

PURPOSE: The Pamela and Scott Woodward Conservation Scholarship was created by Tapteal Greenway in 2016. Tapteal Greenway is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting conservation, education and recreation along the lower Yakima River. This merit-based scholarship was created to further its education mission while recognizing the significant contributions by the Woodwards to Tapteal Greenway and the Tri-Cities community.

One $2,000.00 Scholarship will be awarded.

Richard C. Emery Business and Finance Scholarship

FOR STUDENTS WITH DEMONSTRATED INTEREST IN BUSINESS, FINANCE, ECONOMICS, OR ACCOUNTING.

PURPOSE: For residents of Benton or Franklin County entering their freshman year or returning college students with a demonstrated interest in business, finance, economics, or accounting. This fund was established by HFG Trust/Community First Bank in honor of Richard C. Emery.

Richland Fire and Emergency Services

FOR RICHLAND FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES

PURPOSE: The Richland Fire & Emergency Services (RF&ES) Scholarship was established to help RF&ES firefighters achieve their academic and career goals. These men and women have a significant impact on our community and deserve recognition for their integrity and unwavering dedication to duty. Applicant must be a RF&ES firefighter in good standing. Victor and Jean Sands Memorial Scholarship for Oboe and Strings

FOR HIGHLY SKILLED OBOE OR STRING INSTRUMENT PERFORMING MUSICIANS

The Victor and Jean Sands Memorial Scholarship for Music is seeking highly skilled oboe or string instrument performing musicians, motivated to go into teaching by a desire and vision to develop the next generation of highly skilled musicians. Applicants should be planning a music career in both teaching and performing and intend to continue developing their strengths in both areas over the course of their career. The applicant should be intending to major in music education (preference will be given to students who are also pursuing a performance degree), and the applicant’s performance instrument must be oboe, violin, viola, cello, or bass. Students must be high school graduates from Benton or Franklin County schools. Members of the Sands family are not eligible.
